Let’s face it half the reason to go to the fair is for the food. And while the NC State Fair has all the typical fair foods you’ve come to expect they also like to through in some new and *interesting* options. One year when I was there it was the debut of the Krispy Kreme burger. While I have to say it wasn’t terrible, it isn’t something I’d eat again. But the creation of the ‘delicacies’ draws people to the fair every year to try them. So of course the NC State Fair has new food items for this year.

But what are they? In addition to your funnel cakes and fried everything you can try lobster rolls, shrimp Alfredo stuffed turkey legs, and shrimp and grits among other items. I have to say some of these are fairly tame but fancy for fair foods. The most intriguing concept is definitely the shrimp Alfredo stuffed turkey legs. While not super out there I personally want to try the chicken tots.
