HBCU Homecomings
I attended the best HBCU in the world in North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and one of the best things about being there was celebrating homecoming. Homecoming week is a week during school where everything on campus shuts down. Students don’t want to go to class, teachers don’t want to teach, and all everyone wants to do is celebrate what is about to happen that upcoming weekend.
The events leading up to homecoming are always amazing but the actual day of homecoming is what makes homecoming as a whole a special thing. Everyone who went to the school past and present come back home to congregate and reminisce old times. The tailgates, the game, the band, the people, and then the finale which is the celebration on the yard.
Did you attend a HBCU or have you ever been to a HBCU homecoming?
