I love the fair and most of the time everything goes off perfectly. You go there for the food, the games, the rides and the attractions. There was trouble at the SC State Fair recently when a fair attraction crashed and it was a scary moment for everyone who watched. I will go ahead and put your mind at ease, no one was hurt. It looks like the performer involved knew exactly what to do and when to get out.
The new attraction called, Wheel of Destiny, crashed right in the middle of a show with the performer inside. According to channel 36 , it happened October 16 when support cables snapped in two places sending the attraction off its path.
It looks like the performer was prepared and knew exactly what was happening. You can see in the video he hops off and no one in the audience was injured either. Looks like a miracle to me that no one was hurt. The General Manager of the fair says repairs have been made.
