Drake has broken his silence and released a public statement regarding the Astroworld festival that left eight dead and dozens injured Friday (Nov. 5).

The Toronto rapper took to Instagram to give his condolences to the friends and families of the victims, "I've spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy," wrote Drake. "I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all."

Drake was a surprise guest at Travis Scott's Astroworld festival on Friday (Nov.5) that left eight people dead ranging in ages from 14 to 27 per The New York Times.

Scott also released a statement over the weekend per XXL,  "I am absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG Park for the immediate response and support. Love You All."

Live Nation also issued a statement per the outlet, "Heartbroken for those lost and impacted at Astroworld last night. We will continue working to provide as much information and assistance as possible to the local authorities as they investigate the situation."

Drake, Travis Scott, and Live Nation have been listed in at least three lawsuits regarding the tragedy.
