Parents of students who go to CMS schools are trying to figure out a way to stop students from being so violent because they want children to enjoy being at school. They don’t want them to be afraid of being at school where they are supposed to get an education.
Just last week 3 guns were found in a CMS school and according to the manual rule 31 states that a student can face a long term suspension or expulsion for having a firearm on campus.
Superintendent Earnest Winston is asking parents to talk to their kids about these consequences and to check their book bags before they leave for school, an extra step he says is worth their future and safety.
How do you think violence in schools can be stopped or prevented?
