If you’re a jazz loving parent you might be excited for your child to audition for a FREE workshop. JazzArts Charlotte is has been around for a while sharing and educating the community about jazz and now there is another opportunity. Studies show that students that play an instrument are smarter. Learning music really does make students smarter according to the Journal of Research in Music Education.

Middle and high school student musicians with at least one year of instrumental experience are welcome to audition. Does your child have at least one year of woodwind brass, percussion, rhythm section, and or vocals? This workshop will be held on Thursday evenings beginning February 24th to May 26 at VAPA Center, located 700 N. Tryon Street uptown.  JazzArts Charlotte is a premiere jazz organization with a focus on community enrichment through music education, live performances, and musician support.
