Now, this is something you don’t see often! While out for a walk on the beach a mother and daughter stumbled on a rarely seen form of sea life. The pair came across an Octopus while they were walking along the water of North Myrtle Beach! It ended up being an Atlantic octopus, pink in color by known to change to match its surroundings.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources posted a video on Facebook taken of the encounter by the lucky viewers. The animals are native to the area but rarely travel this close to shore. A rare encounter of an Octopus in Myrtle Beach for sure. Keep an eye out the next time you are there!
