According to CMPD the man who was suspected of shooting and killing CATS bus driver Ethan Rivera was arrested and taken into custody on yesterday. 21 year old Darian Dru Thavychith was arrested yesterday morning by the Shawnee, Kansas police department.
Officers had been on a two week man hunt for Thavychith which spanned through NC, Tennessee, Colorado, and Kansas.
According to the Shawnee Police Department, they say around 11pm Feb 28th they were called to a gas station in the city to assist the public. When officers arrived they came in contact with Thavychith and realized he had an active felony warrant for his arrest coming from Charlotte. He was arrested & taken to Johnson County, Kansas adult detention center where he could be extradited.
