The Queen City has a new professional sports team and they are already breaking records without having one match here yet.  MLS's new expansion team The Charlotte FC will have their first home match at Bank of America stadium on Saturday March 5 and that match is expected to break the MLS attendance record for any team. Club sources confirm that the club has sold at least 73,500 tickets for its first-ever home match against the LA Galaxy on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 8 p.

Charlotte FC lost their debut match against DC United 3-0 in DC.

On October 9 that will be the regular season finale also known as Decision Day. The match against the Galaxy will be one of Charlotte FC’s eight games against opponents from the western conference while the other 26 will be played against fellow eastern conference foes.
