Another business is saying goodbye in our Charlotte community. A popular Charlotte butcher shop has closed its doors after serving the community for nearly six decades.
The oldest butcher shop in Queen City is Westside Meats. This shop will permanently close its doors after 57 years in business. WBTV reported on April 16, 2022, that this family-owned business has decided not to continue serving the community. According to their Facebook page, “the Coleman family, Rose, Randy, Victoria, Tavis and the rest of the Westside Meats staff.”
The news outlet reports that Westside Meats has operated from the same spot in Charlotte since the 1970s and has been a staple of the community ever since. Westside Meats is located at 1414 W. Trade Street in Charlotte. The owners will still welcome customers until April 16.
