LaMelo shines as Hornets defeat Bulls
The Hornets had seven different players score in double figures as they defeated the Chicago Bulls 133-117. LaMelo Ball had a game high 24 points also giving 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Miles Bridges pitched in with 20 points, Kelly Oubre Jr had 18 points off the bench and Terry Rozier gave the team 15 points. The Hornets have been one of the hottest teams in the last quarter of the season going into the play in tournament. They are currently tied with the Atlanta Hawks with both teams having a record of 42-39.
Zach Lavine lead the bulls with 23 points. Demar Derozan only had 17 points, he had a stretch of 5+ games where he scored at least 30 points. The bulls at one point had the number 1 seed but they have now fallen to the 6 seed which is one spot out of the play in tournament.
The Hornets play the Washington Wizards at home today for the regular season finale. If the Hornets win and the Hawks lose the hornets will move into the 9th spot in the play in tournament.
