Attending a Carolina Panthers game is a Charlotte must. With football back (Yay) who wouldn’t love wrapping up in your warm team gear and cheering on our boys? Okay…you might get a little chilly out there in the stands, but the Carolina Panthers are right here in the QC and a game is a perfect way to spend the day. Wear some gloves and go, team!
By Grindstone Media Group/ShutterstockCharlotte native Ikem Ekwonu was drafted number 6 overall by the Carolina Panthers and he is ready to do all he can off the field to help his community. Ickey graduated from Providence Day in 2019 and was a first team all American as a freshman at NC State.
“You know I’m also a guy who likes to get involved in the community a little bit, just gotta engrain myself into the culture,” said Ekwonu before the draft.
“We’re hoping that by being a Panther, that we will get to see him and be a part of our community again,” his former athletic director said.
Ekwonu not only has support from the community but from his coaches who rallied behind him in Las Vegas.
