TINLEY PARK, IL – DECEMBER 17: A customer shops for a pistol at Freddie Bear Sports sporting goods store on December 17, 2012 in Tinley Park, Illinois. Americans purchased a record number of guns in 2012 and gun makers have reported a record high in demand. Firearm sales have surged recently as speculation of stricter gun laws and a re-instatement of the assault weapons ban following the mass school shooting in Connecticut . With everything that has happened in the last 30 days you would think that people who are in position to make changes would actually do so. That makes too much sense though, there was a guy who had an AR-15 in Buffalo, NY, a man who shot up a church targeting Asians, and an 18 year old with an AR-15 shoot and massacre children at an elementary school in Texas. You would think that would make the senators say ok we HAVE to do something to change the gun laws here in this country but instead you have an idiotic Governor in Texas saying there was no warning of the events at the elementary school but the young man posted on Social media the horrible acts he was going to commit.
These are the solutions that the ones in charge came up with and I'm not making this up. Governor Greg Abbott said teachers should be armed to prevent things like this from happening. Why is he promoting more people have guns, it's because he has a deal with the NRA that's funnels in millions of dollars to the state of Texas and to him personally. Senator Ted Cruz's solution was that schools should only have ONE DOOR and that will help prevent mass shootings at school.
These are the people that y'all vote into office and instead of tailing negatively about them, that just tells me about the type of people we have in the world. If you think for one second that this type of foolery is what we need in office and making decisions for us then YOU need to reevaluate what you value. These are the same politicians that voted to tell women what they need to do with their bodies.
We need to protect our babies and our people in general. This isn't a politician issue it's a human decency issue.
