This is going to be a hot summer and those that are elderly and/or disabled could suffer the most. Mecklenburg County government has stepped in to help by giving away free fans.

The free fans will be given away at 7 different community centers in the Mecklenburg County. A few things that you need to know is that pre-registration is required. This can be done either by phone or online. There are no walk ups allowed and the limit is one fan per person. Please be sure to have your correct identification as well.
