Gov. Roy Cooper delivers a briefing on North Carolina’s coronavirus pandemic response Monday, Jun. 15, 2020, at the NC Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh, N.C.

When the Roe v Wade ruling was overturned, Governor Roy Cooper was one of a few Governonrs/Politicians who stood against the overturning and he made a statement saying that North Carolina would be a state where that will support women being able to make their own decisions with their body.

This past Wednesday Gov. Cooper signed an executive order that defends access to reproductive health in North Carolina.

“This order will help protect North Carolina doctors and nurses and their patients from cruel right-wing criminal laws passed by other states. It will help coordinate healthcare access and it’ll help ensure that local police are enforcing our state law that prevents anyone from obstructing or barring access to a healthcare facility.”

-Gov. Roy Cooper
In a press conference that Gov. Cooper held with planned parenthood action fund leaders, the order he signed also protects healthcare providers and patients from prosecution from other states for the reproductive healthcare they receive.
This is why I feel like Roy Cooper needs to run for President.  I feel like he understands what the people need and also understands that he’s a servant of the people.
