Epicentre up on Auction Block
We’ve heard that the Epicenter uptown was in foreclosure, almost every restaurant and club in there has been closed for quite some time now, and people have been asking well what’s going to happen to the Epicenter? We may have some clarity now because the epicentre is going on the auction block today August 9, 2022 and could soon be under new ownership.
The complex which at one point was the heart of the uptown nightlife will be auctioned off. The COVID-19 pandemic and violent crime in the area drove away both businesses and customers. The auction had been pushed back twice earlier this year but today it will be going on the auction block. People in the city and employees of the epicentre hope that the new owners, whoever they will be, will bring more business to the epicenter and more entertainment to uptown.
