I-77 was closed due a power outage caused by a train. The interstate is back open North and Southbound, but there are still a few things you need to know.

Overnight, a train cut power to about 2,000 customers in the Queen City according to WCNC. This power outage affected a few schools. Nations Ford Elementary is closed today and Performance Learning Academy had to be remote today. The outage caused closures both north and southbound on I-77. The good news is that the interstate is back open, however, there are still some residents without power.
