Mary J. Blige is most definitely an icon and she is continuing to add things under her belt. Her newest addition is a children’s book.
Mary has been through things in her life like everyone else. She is now transcending some things into a children’s book called “Mary Can”. Mary recently did an interview with People Magazine and had this to say about the book.
- “I want kids to know that there are no limits to what they can accomplish,” she shared in a statement. “My wish is for my nieces and nephews to feel they can achieve anything they imagine. Growing up, I was constantly told that my dreams were too big, too bold, and too far out of reach. I think we need to reinforce that nothing is impossible.”
I am truly proud of Mary J. She teamed up with an artist named Ashleigh Corrin for the artwork in the book. The book is set to be on shelves by March of 2023.
