WNBA player Angel McCoughtry reveals following the Brittney Griner saga, she will not be playing basketball in Russia.

I have met Angel before once when I was in Atlanta. She is such a sweet person. I met her at there ice cream shop next to Kandi Burruss' "Old Lady Gang" restaurant. She recently spoke out about Brittney Griner coming home. According to TMZ, she revealed she will not be playing basketball in Russia after the unfortunate situation with Griner.

I honestly do not blame her at all. I think a lot of players will either opt not to play, or move completely different when playing overseas. Cherelle Griner, Brittney's wife, made it clear they would be advocating for others in similar positions as well. According to Angel, she said "I mean, it's tough on us 'cause Russia was one of the places where we made the most money. I was making my WNBA salary in one month in Russia. My whole salary. I think girls are gonna go elsewhere and play, probably. No, I would not go back. I would not go back."

She added, "It was hard to make friends. People are introverted because of the weather. The sun doesn't come out. So, it's already kind of depressing being there, playing there. But, to be in that kind of environment, I'm so glad she's back. What an amazing feeling to wake up to that." all according to TMZ. I couldn't imagine either. The money isn't worth the worry most likely to her and I don't blame her.
