Microsoft is the next company that seems to be cutting costs. According to Sky News Microsoft is set to cut 10,000 jobs.
Quite a few employees might be on pins and needles right now if they work for Microsoft. Companies worldwide are doing what they can to cut costs. Inflation is taking a toll on both consumer spending and corporate spendings. In turn, they are cutting approximately 10,000 jobs in the next coming days.
Also according to Sky News, Microsoft will be spending approximately $1.2 Billion in severance costs. Artificial intelligence is starting to take over in certain spaces and companies are investing into them more. Microsoft allegedly plans to invest quite a bit of money into the expansion and programming areas of artificial intelligence. I remember there was a time we used to say one day robots would be taking over. I believe we might be almost there and I can promise you that is very scary. This layoff is expected to only affect 5% of their workforce, but no one wants to be in that 5%. Drop your thoughts.
