North and South Carolina Two of the Best States to be a Storm Chaser
Truly, you must have no fear to be a storm chaser. No fear, just straight guts. In my opinion. Now, this may not be something I partake in as a hobby, but some folks may want to get going. I will just watch the documentaries from my couch later.
For those looking to become a “storm chaser,” you may want to check out a few states first. MRO Electric has named the best states in the United States for storm chasers to get their job going. These states are the best to keep an eye out for hurricanes, tornadoes, and tropical storms throughout the country. They took into consideration several different factors including:
- # of tropical storms, hurricanes, and tornadoes within the past 5 years
- average nightly price of temporary accommodations
- average travel expenses, etc.
Crazy enough, with these determining factors North Carolina and South Carolina made the top 10. Not only is North and South Carolina two of the top states to chase storms, but they are also considered in the “danger zone.” This means North and South Carolina are some of the top states that get hit the most by these storms in the country.
