Troy Ave has a #FreeTroyAve campaign on social media. Today he takes the stand in a murder trial in hopes to clear his name.
This murder trial stems from a shooting back in 2016. T.I. had a show in New York at a venue called Irving Plaza. A gentleman by the name of Banga, Troy Ave’s close friend, was killed. There was an argument in the VIP and there was a shooting. Ave’s close friend Banga was killed. Troy Ave was also shot in the leg. Now allegedly there was some video footage and Troy Ave is seen either with a gun or firing. The gun allegedly used to kill Banga and injure Troy Ave contained DNA from Taxstone.
Now, who is Taxstone? Taxstone is a well known podcaster. He was also arrested in connection to this same incident on a felony gun possession charge. Troy Ave claims that he has been blamed for years for the death of his close friend Banga.
