The latest update in the Young Thug RICO trial involves a prosepctive juror who was sentenced to jail for recording the court proceedings. She was ordered to spend three days behind bars for filming parts of the court proceedings per Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Juror 1004 had initially been sentenced to three days in jail on Monday morning (April 3) after Chief Judge Ural Glanville said she willfully violated the instructions he gave last month at the Fulton County Courthouse, the publication reports. However, she apologized after given a stern reprimand, the 21-year-old left at about 3:30 p.m.

It was believed she had live-streamed court proceedings on March 17. Although, she said she recorded a video and then quickly deleted it.

"It wasn’t livestreamed at all," the prospective juror said. "I did take a video and then the young lady next to me said I couldn’t do that."

Glanville said he told all prospective jurors the "ad nauseum admonitions" and how they should conduct themselves in his courtroom.

"I went through a very long and arduous process of telling people what they could not do and you violated that," he told the juror. "And you put this trial in jeopardy by doing that."

The woman was shocked that she was told she had to spend three days in jail initially. "I do apologize for the actions that I took and it won’t happen again," Juror 1004 told the judge.

Glanville however took the opportunity to let the woman understand how important it is to follow instructions instead of having her serve her sentence.

"Judges, despite what people think, don’t like to send folks to jail," Glanville told her. "You can’t come into a place, break the rules and expect there to be no consequences."

The selection process for Thuggers trial began on Jan. 4. However, approximately 1,200 potential jurors have been summoned but no one has been selected as of yet.

"That self-esteem! He’s a very stylish young man, so I would say that the inside meaning of that is that he is his own best friend."
