Recently Gambino sat down with GQ Magazine. Apparently when he first started to write the song, the original intentions would be a diss towards Drake. He started to work with the song more and decided it was way to good of a song to be a diss. Now don't get it twisted, there have been some really good diss songs. "Ether" was one of them. "This Is America" was definitely a hit for the books. I believe the 875 million views speak for themselves.
