This North Carolina Area Ranks Amid Top 10 Most Envied Suburbs In The Nation
It’s no secret Charlotte grows by leaps and bounds every day. But, do you know which areas around Charlotte rank among the most popular? A recent report from Moving Feedback made known the top 175 “most envied” suburbs in the nation. They based the list on surveys from thousands of residents in the U.S. And, the Charlotte area of South Park ranked amid the top 10. In fact, it came in at number 4 on the list of most envied suburbs
So, what exactly makes South Park among the most envied suburbs in the nation? According to the study, it scored high for “shopping, upscale residential areas, and proximity to Charlotte.” And, the report also points out the numerous restaurants and a “reputation for safety and low crime rates.” Of course, as a resident of Charlotte for some time now I am a fan of the South Park area for shopping and dining. South Park mall has great options for both. And, the nearby homes are beautiful even if I could never afford to live in them!
Also, other North Carolina spots making the list of most enviable suburbs in the nation included Cary, Ballantyne and Myers Park. However, with the exception of Cary which is closer to Raleigh, the other two are merely a hop skip and a jump from South Park. So, no surprise there either.
And, South Carolina had an area make the top 10 most envied suburbs in the nation, too. Forest Acres came in just behind South Park at number 5. Forest Acres is a suburb of Columbia with a population of a little over 10,000. The area boasts tree lined streets and historic homes. Sounds lovely!
