Eminem Launched A New T-Shirt, But Fans Want More
Eminem dropped a new T-shirt on his online merchandise website. But fans quickly ignored the launch. They’re demanding less clothes and more music from the rapper.
Eminem released his first album, Infinite, in 1996, but became a star with the album The Slim Shady in 1999. “My Name Is” was on this album. When the rapper launched a new T-shirt on social media, there were fans excited to get their hands on one, while others flew to the comments asking about new music.
Taking to social media on Wednesday, the rapper whose real name is Marshall Mathers III shared images of the new merch from “The Slim Shady 25th Anniversary” collection. The T-shirt itself is a tribute to Eminem’s “My Name Is” track. It’s a black short-sleeved shirt that says, “Hi, my name is Slim Shady” on the front and “Hi, Kids! Do you like violence?” on the back. The rapper captioned his post, “Want to copy me and do exactly like I did? Hit the store for the #MyNameIs ’99 vintage T-shirt reissue.”
This shirt is definitely giving vintage feels. However, it’s just not quite filling the void of new Em music for fans. “Drop the album old man. It’s been more than 4 years [eye roll emoji],” one person commented. Someone else chimed in writing, “Ok, but we still want a new album.” Another person came into the defense of the rapper saying, “Yall talking thinking like dropping an álbum is an easy and not complex thing.” This person may have a fair point. New albums don’t happen overnight.
While Eminem has released plenty of special editions, greatest hits, and anniversary albums, his last album put out was Music to Be Murdered By in 2020. It was released on January 17 through Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records. The album before this one dropped in 2018, Kamikaze.

Eminem’s Personal Life
Ever since Eminem has been in the spotlight, when people weren’t talking about his music, the struggles in his personal life were the center of attention. While he was trying to get his rap career off the ground, he worked at a diner while he tried to support his then-girlfriend and later-wife Kim Scott and daughter Hailie Jade. However, it was until his debut EP in 1997 Slim Shady EP that the rapper took on this alter ego which showed a side into his drug use. Many of the lyrics in several of the songs on the debut EP for the rapper talked about his addiction as he rose to fame.
“My addiction didn’t start in my early days when I was coming up. We used to drink 40s on the porch and just battle rap each other. My drug usage started at the beginning of that first album,” he explained to Billboard last year.
While he battled his addiction amid his success in music, along the way he’s stirred the pot and has gotten himself into many rap beefs with various artists. From Mariah Carey to Ja Rule check out eight of his infamous rap beefs ranked:
