Diddy Hit With His 7th Sexual Assault Allegation
Diddy has been hit with his 7th sexual assault allegation. Per NBC News, a former fashion student filed a lawsuit Thursday (May 23) accusing the Bad Boy Records founder of drugging and sexually assaulting her on multiple occasions.
In the claim filed in the Supreme Court of New York County by April Lampros, she alleges that Combs promised to mentor her and provide industry connections before he became “aggressive” and “coercive.” Now 51, Lampros says in the suit that she met Diddy in New York City in 1994 while she was studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The 7th Sexual Assault Allegation
She alleges he sexually assaulted her on four occasions between 1995 and 2000. The lawsuit details a time Lampros alleges she was forced to take ecstasy and have sex with Diddy’s former girlfriend, the late Kim Porter.
After she attempted to distance herself from Combs following a second alleged assault, he threatened her with physical violence and said he would have her blacklisted in the fashion industry.
Years after she cut ties with him, she alleges she “was told that Mr. Combs apparently recorded them having sex without her knowing and showed it to multiple people.” She is suing Diddy, 54, over allegations of battery, sexual assault, infliction of emotional distress, and gender-motivated violence.
She is the sixth person to detail assault allegations against Diddy in a lawsuit, accusations that Combs has denied in previous statements.
Diddy and Cassie Respond To Leaked Footage
As we previously reported, Diddy issued an apology video after footage of him assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway. Though he didn’t blatantly specify his statement in relation to the leaked footage because he also didn’t mention Cassie by name, he called his actions “inexcusable” and said he sought therapy and has been off drugs.
Earlier this week, Cassie took to Instagram to share her gratitude for the support following the footage leak. Though she didn’t mention Diddy by name, she commended those who have been taking this issue “seriously.” The mother of two added that it is crucial to help those who are in similar situations.
“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet,” she wrote. “The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”
She continued: “Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in. I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone.”
She concluded her post by saying, “This healing journey is never-ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you. Love Always, Cassie.”
