Many artists like Metro Boomin, Future, and Jennifer Lopez have been forced to cancel multiple show dates, reportedly due to poor ticket sales. Now, there appears to be speculation of low ticket sales with Sexxy Red’s Sexxy Red 4 President Tour.

Sexxy Redd is set to start in Seattle on Aug. 22 and end in Nashville on Oct. 1. She will be making stops in Portland, Austin, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Orlando, and New Orleans, among other cities. She’s also bringing along supporting acts Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, and BlakeIANA.

According to Touring Data, which also reported Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” record-setting feats, Sexyy Red sold roughly 37% of 85,217 tickets available in North America. Based on the organization’s metric, other outlets speculated that the North American run would be canceled soon.

On Monday (July 8), Sexyy Red took to X (formerly Twitter) to deny the claim. Despite rumors of possible cancellations, she strongly denied the claim on social media, saying that the allegations were foul play by competitors.

“My fans are buying tickets. We’re doin’ just fine,” the “U My Everything” artist posted on X. “We [are] not canceling no tour. [This] canceling s--- [is] all cap.” Sexyy Red further suggested that her decision to work with an independent promoter led larger companies to spread false narratives.

She elaborated, “[This is] how [they] try to do [you when you] go [with] an independent promoter. The bigger companies try to sabotage [you]. We [are] not canceling s---. I did my touring deal with a Black promoter, Black-owned company AG Entertainment, and now [they] playin’ dirty. [They’re] paying pages [and] spreading fake news to discourage my fans from buying tickets.”

AG Entertainment, known for promoting some of the biggest events in the hip-hop world, has yet to respond to the allegations. However, the silence from the company has only fueled further speculation from eager fans and critics alike.

Some fans replied to the rapper’s denial of claims. One person wrote, “Babe they ain’t spreading fake news…check Ticketmaster.” Someone jokingly poked fun at her relationship with Drake. “I’m sure Drake can take care of it…,” they said.

Another person seemed to agree with the artist, saying “I wouldn't be surprised if Live Nation is paying people to smear your tour. Roc Nation was paying people to smear Nicki tour and name and they all sister companies. They mad you didn't choose them...”

Sexyy Red’s 4 President Tour is set to kick off in August. Find more information here.
