Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Department Celebrates Hot Dog Day

National Hot Dog Day was July 17th. The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Department celebrated Hot Dog Day by giving out over 600 hot dog plates. Sheriff Gary Mcfadden said, “It is important to continue to engage the community in any way possible”. Many people came out to enjoy the hotdogs and have fun in the park. Summer camps brought out their kids in busloads. The event took place at First Ward Park.
