Coco Gauff and Lebron James Named Flag Bearers During The Olympic Opening Ceremony
In addition to making her Olympic debut, tennis superstar, Coco Gauff was named as one of the U.S flag bearers during the 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony. She is the first tennis athlete to carry the US flag.
Joining Guaff as a flag bearer will be Lebron James. James’ Team USA teammate, Steph Curry, shared the news saying, “You got that honor, so you get to wave the flag in Paris, my man.” This is James’ 4th Olympic appearance and he has 2 gold medals. The two athletes were selected by Team USA athletes.
Snoop Dogg will also be joining our nation’s greatest athletes during the opening ceremony. The rapper is set to be one of the torchbearers in the final moments before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Snoop will carry the Olympic flame through the streets of Saint-Denis, the final stop before the Eiffel Tower. He will also serve as an official NBC Olympics correspondent for the Games. The tradition of lighting the Olympic flame has represented peace and friendship among nations since antiquity.
