Looks like Selena Quintanilla’s killer, Yolanda Saldívar, is speaking up before her parole eligibility next month. In 1995, Saldívar killed Tejano Selena Quintanilla and has since spent 30 years in prison. Now, she is about to seek parole.

A family friend of Saldívar recently spoke to The New York Post about Saldívar and her time in prison. The 64-year-old is serving her sentence in prison in Texas and will be eligible for parole next month. She was once the president of Selena's fan club and manager of Selena Etc. boutiques in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Saldívar's family member told The NY Post "She feels like she’s a political prisoner at this point. She’s ready to get out of jail because she believes she has more than served her time."

Now, she awaits her attempt at parole next month, April 2025, after 30 years in prison. Saldívar continues to speak about the murder and in a film last year, she stated that there was more to the story than what people knew.

Reports state that she has been a model prisoner and maintained a clean record which is allowing her to seek parole when the time comes. Will she be released? What will happen if she is released as many are still fans of Selena and hold a grudge?
