Charlotte Restaurants Offer Thanksgiving Meals for Diners Looking for Alternatives

At least Eight Charlotte eateries will dish out Thanksgiving dinners on Thursday, Nov. 28. Residents who'd rather skip the hassle of cooking and scrubbing dishes can find both sit-down meals and takeout packages complete with turkey, fixings, and sweets.

Angeline's

Angeline's at 303 S. Church St. will plate up a $48 per person feast. Guests get slow-roasted pumpkin soup, harvest salad, herb-roasted turkey with gravy, and cranberry agrodolce. Sweet potatoes arrive topped with toasted marshmallows and pecans, plus sautéed green beans. Want wine? A three-course pairing runs an additional $25.

Church & Union

Church & Union at 127 N. Tryon St. will roll out a three-course prix fixe spread from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Diners pick between potato-leek soup or mixed green salad to kick things off. Then comes the main event: seared salmon, New York strip, or sweet potato gnocchi. Adults pay $70. Kids 12 and under pay $30.

La Belle Helène

La Belle Helène at 300 S. Tryon St. will present a $75 spread for adults and $30 for children 12 and under. Start with pumpkin soup or beef tartare. Move on to rotisserie turkey with brioche stuffing, New York strip, vegetarian gnocchi, or seared salmon. Finish with chai panna cotta or spiced apple cake.

Napa

Napa operates three area spots, each serving a three-course feast for $60 per person. Roasted turkey, prime rib, or salmon come with family-style accompaniments like whipped potatoes and mac and cheese. Pumpkin pie, caramel apple cheesecake, and chocolate mousse cake close out the meal.

Steak 48

Steak 48 at 4425 Sharon Road opens at noon and runs until 9 p.m. The kitchen will turn out its full menu plus holiday standards: turkey with gravy, seared roasted carrots in maple-brown butter-apple cider reduction, cranberry sauce, stuffing, truffle mashed potatoes, whipped sweet potato praline and pumpkin pie. Dean's Italian Steakhouse

Dean's Italian Steakhouse at 128 E. Brooklyn Village Ave. swings open from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Chef-curated seasonal plates include apple-brined turkey breast and jumbo lump crab macaroni and cheese. Regular steakhouse items remain on hand too.

Angry Ale's

Angry Ale's at 1518 Montford Drive will broadcast the Packers versus Lions game at 1 p.m. Miller Lite specials go for $3.50 all day. Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches with homemade chips cost $10. Fireball and apple pie shots run $5 each.

City Barbecue

City Barbecue has four area outposts, each offering ready-to-serve packages for groups of 4-24 people. Smoked turkey or ham anchor the meal, with sides and sweets rounding things out. Pickup runs from November 19-30.
