Cousins Maine Lobster its return to the Queen City, with a new truck in Charlotte this week. This marks their fourth vehicle in North Carolina.

A grand opening happens Jan. 22 at Town Brewing Co., 800 Grandin Road. Stop by between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Savas and Victoria Alkoc will run it. They've launched trucks across seven states: New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.

"We couldn't be more excited to bring Cousins Maine Lobster back to Charlotte," said Savas and Victoria Alkoc in a statement, according to a press release from the company. "This is a market that has always shown CML incredible excitement and support for the brand."

The Alkocs built their business through smart execution and staff training. They've pushed growth along the East Coast and in other regions where demand keeps climbing for fresh seafood served from mobile kitchens.

Lindsay Herberger, Director of Franchise Development at Cousins Maine Lobster, applauded the owners. "Savas and Victoria exemplify what it means to be successful multi-unit, multi-market owners within our system," said Herberger in a statement. "They've consistently demonstrated the ability to build strong teams, implement scalable processes, and grow responsibly year after year."

Two cousins started the company in 2012. Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis pitched on Shark Tank and got Barbara Corcoran to invest. The business turned into one of the show's biggest wins.

Wild-caught Maine lobster stars on the menu. Guests can order lobster rolls, tacos, grilled cheese, New England clam chowder, and whoopie pies. The company runs trucks, restaurants, and an online shop shipping live lobsters straight to customers' doors.
