Festival, a craft beer celebration, and a stand-up comedy show, while Broadway and live music fill out the rest of the calendar. Charlotte SHOUT! Festival Kicks Off

Charlotte SHOUT! returns to Uptown Charlotte from April 3 to 19, bringing together art, music, food, and ideas over 17 days of celebration. The beloved annual festival invites people of all ages to explore more than 200 events and attractions spread across the city's urban core. Built around the idea of letting "wonder lead the way," Charlotte SHOUT! blends local creativity with community gathering, featuring a diverse lineup of artists, performers, and culinary experiences. Whether you're drawn to live music, public art, or simply good food and conversation, the festival offers something for every interest.

Charlotte Brewfest 2026

  • What: Unlimited craft beer samples for a great cause
  • When: Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: South End Station Parking Lot, 1435 S. Tryon St., Charlotte
  • Cost: $28.90

Charlotte Brewfest returns April 4 to celebrate National Beer Day with food trucks, live music, activities, and unlimited samples from more than 25 craft breweries. General admission includes three hours of sampling, a commemorative tasting glass, and a chance to vote for the best beer; VIP tickets add early entry, a food voucher, and extra raffle drawings. There will be live music from the Nathan Dowdy Duo, with OooWee BBQ and Papa Libretto's Street Pizzas on hand for food. The 21-and-older event benefits AltruSpirit, a local nonprofit supporting athletic programming for at-risk youth in the Charlotte area.

Myq Kaplan

Myq Kaplan is a stand-up comedian with credits spanning "The Tonight Show," "Conan," The Late Show With David Letterman," "The Late Late Show With James Corden," Comedy Central, and "America's Got Talent." His one-hour Amazon special, "Small, Dork, and Handsome," and 2023 Dry Bar special, "Live From The Universe," showcase his sharp, cerebral style. His album "A.K.A." debuted at No. 1 and earned an "invigoratingly funny" nod from the New York Times, while his Edinburgh Fringe performances drew praise from critics on both sides of the Atlantic. He also hosts two podcasts, "The Faucet" and "Broccoli and Ice Cream."
