Can you believe that this moment happened a little over 10 years ago…
Beyonce revealed to the world that she and Jay Z were expecting their 1st child….Blue Ivy Carter. (My favorite part of this video is when they pan to Jay Z. He is oooozing with happiness! #ProudHusbandMoment #ProudPapaMoment) Well today, January 7th, Blue hits double digits and turns 10 years old.
In those 10 years, Blue Ivy has made quite an impact! Just 2 days before her birth, TIME magazine named her “the most famous baby in the world“. Her vocals were featured on her father’s song “Glory”, earning her a Guinness World Record for being the youngest person to have a charted song on any Billboard chart. She was also featured on her mother’s single, “Brown Skin Girl“, giving her an NAACP Image Award and a BET Her Award, making her the youngest person to ever receive a BET award. She also received a Grammy for Best Music Award giving her yet another world record for being the youngest individually credited Grammy Award winner and the second youngest overall.
When Blue’s grandmother, Mrs. Tina Lawson, sent her a special birthday message on Instagram, I was shocked to see just how big she has really gotten.
