  • 16. Bluffton, South Carolina

Bluffton is coming in at No. 16 on the list of the top 50. Bluffton is one of those places that truly give off “Lowcountry Living.” If you have ever been to Bluffton, then you know this small town has charm, character, and a beautiful art scene to experience. There are tons of nature to enjoy and view whenever you’re in the Bluffton area like the Spanish moss in the photo below.

  • 12. Hendersonville, North Carolina

The first North Carolina town we’re seeing in the top 20 is the town of Hendersonville. Hendersonville is a small town tucked in the mountains with some of the greatest views. There are tons of things to do in this quaint town such as apple picking, visiting local breweries, hiking, and even playing in a swimming hole. This is clearly a nature lovers type of place.

  • 11. Beaufort, North Carolina

Up next, is Beaufort. Not South Carolina, but North Carolina. Beaufort, North Carolina is the state’s third oldest town. That’s pretty old, right? There are tons of restaurants with great food that you can enjoy when you’re in town. There are barrier islands also in the area that you can take a ferry to visit and see what other hidden gems are all around Beaufort. I have only heard of Beaufort in South Carolina so I guess I should give it a try and see about this one!

  • 9. Folly Beach, South Carolina

We’re back in South Carolina and this time we’re heading to Folly Beach! On the outskirts of Charleston, Folly Beach is one of the best beach towns in the state. Enjoy a great food scene, bars, live music, shopping, the beach, and more! You can paddleboard, surf, and more all in the area.

  • 5. Blowing Rock, North Carolina

Coming in at No. 5 is Blowing Rock, North Carolina. That’s right, Blowing Rock is a mountain town (obviously with that name) and has some of the best views in the state. One of the most notable things to see while in Blowing Rock is the 4,0000 ft. cliff that gives you the most amazing view. It may be a mountain town, but there is tons of fun you can enjoy or plenty of peace and relaxation.

  • 2. Beaufort, South Carolina

The top Carolina city to make the list is Beaufort, South Carolina. It’s the second best small town in the South and one of the state’s best destinations to visit. This beach town is full of pines and palm trees to enjoy, the Beaufort river, and beautiful architecture that you can enjoy while you’re there! Now, one of my favorite parts of the area is the food! That seafood is top tier and can be enjoyed over and over again!
