My birthday is a national holiday (but really) so I always expect to be treated like a queen. And as a professional birthday queen, I also believe that you shouldn’t lift a finger or spend a dime on your special day.
Luckily, RetailMeNot agrees with me, and with their help, I created a list of free things you can get on your birthday. From free drinks to full meals, retailers across Charlotte and beyond want to reward you just for being you. Sure, some of these freebies might require you to sign up for a rewards program or newsletter list, but it beats paying full price on your birthday. When it comes to your birthday, take the time to collect everything you need. Be sure to collect them all and enjoy your day. Whether you are spending the day by yourself or spending the day with your favorite people, collecting all of the freebies is the best. Free Treat with Applebee's
If you join the Applebee’s email club you will get a birthday treat. It will most likely be a free dessert treat. But, if you go and enjoy a great meal then what’s wrong with having a free dessert to end the meal off? Might as well!
Free Milkshake Anyone?
Get a free milkshake on your birthday when you register with Arby’s. If you are a fan of Arby’s then you know the line seems to never be that long and you can swing in quickly and get you that free birthday milkshake. Pick your flavor, get an order of curly fries on the side, and enjoy!
Birthday Pretzels are the Best
If you become a member of My Pretzel Perks, and you’ll get a tasty reward on your birthday: a signature/classic Auntie Anne’s pretzel. My favorite is the cinnamon sugar pretzel. (My mouth watered typing that) I think any and everyone who enjoys pretzels then Auntie Anne’s is probably your favorite!
Ice Cream
Baskin-Robbins Birthday Club members get a free scoop of ice cream on their birthday plus a special discount on a birthday cake. I have never been an ice cream cake type of person, but it’s been years so maybe I should give it a try. My sweet tooth is ringing a little bit just typing this out though.
Free Bagel
I love bagels so I have this birthday reward! Bruegger’s Bagels eClub members get a free bagel just for signing up and you also get a free treat on your birthday! Enjoy this maybe for your breakfast and call it a great, free start to your day!
Free Wings
If you join the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin’ Rewards program you will get a free order of birthday wings during your birth month. Let’s be serious, free wings? You can’t get much better and luckier than that! Grab a bite of some wings and call it a great lunch or spend it another day since you’ve got the whole month to enjoy when you need it.
Free Breakfast
Sign up for Denny’s loyalty program to get a free Grand Slam. Note: Word on the street is you don’t need to register for the program to get this freebie; the server will give you your meal simply when you show your ID proving it’s your birthday. Heck yeah!
Free Coffee or Drink
By signing up for DD Perks, guests receive a free medium beverage at signup and another free drink on their birthday. I have this deal and love it. I can’t have a birthday without my medium coffee, two cream, and two sugar.
Chocolate Dipped Fruit
Edible Arrangements fan? Join Edible Rewards and receive a chocolate-dipped fruit box during your birthday month. My coworker got one for his birthday and he enjoyed it. Chocolate covered fruits will make a birthday one special moment!
Free Sub
Firehouse Subs will give you a free medium sub if you sign up for their Firehouse Rewards program. Get a special sub for you or someone you know and chew on a great bite to have for the special day!
IHOP Score
Not only do you get a free meal on your birthday at IHOP, but you’ll also receive one for joining the Pancake Revolution eClub and another on your one-year anniversary of joining online. That’s a major score!
Free Sub For A year
Jersey Mike’s Subs kt you on your birthday. You get a coupon for a free birthday sub and drink when you sign up for the email club that is good for the entire year!
Donut for Free
If you choose to download the Krispy Kreme app and sign up, you’ll receive a free birthday treat. If you are a donut lover, then you already know Krispy Kreme is one of those you have to have. Plus, we’re in the Carolinas and you know Krispy Kreme is one of our favorites.
Longhorn Steakhouse
Receive a free dessert on your birthday, plus 100 bonus points just for signing up for Longhorn Rewards. You can enjoy free dessert and build up your points to come back and use those rewards when you need to. I have not been to a Longhorn Steakhouse in quite some time, but it can taste great!
Welcome to Moe's!
Free burrito sounds yummy to me. If you download the Moe’s app and you’ll get one on your birthday. If you have not had the queso from Moe’s, then you need to rush there ASAP and add a side of that for your birthday meal as well!
O’Charley’s Special Treat
O’Club members get a free surprise on their birthday. Tell us if you try it out! Treat yourself great and get yourself a little taste of some good ole food for your day. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, then you are going to enjoy that.
Breadsticks Better Move Over
Save room after those unlimited breadsticks! Join Olive Garden’s eClub to get a dessert on your birthday. I absolutely LOVE their breadsticks and would enjoy these any day of the year. Including my birthday!
Red Lobster Treat
If you join the My Red Lobster Rewards you will get a free birthday surprise. New members must join at least seven days before their birthday to get the coupon. Another spot that I love their bread, it’s Red Lobster. So, let’s go and enjoy some Red Lobster and if you’re sitting down in the restaurant you can also get some free bread!
