We celebrate Black History Month each and every year, giving thanks and recognition for the achievements of African Americans. The purpose of Black History Month is to draw attention to the contributions made by African Americans in the United States.
Black History Month pays tribute to all Black people who have lived in the United States throughout history. This includes the history of enslaved people who first came over from Africa in the early 17th century to African Americans living today.
Power 98 is honoring Black History Month from February 1st through March 1st. See our stories, lists, and local content in celebration of African American history.
