In 2018, Weezy appeared in Bumbu’s first marketing campaign where he referred to the rum as the “G.O.A.T.” (greatest of all time). Bumbu, an arm of the New York City-based Sovereign Brands company is the creator of the hit interview series “The Bumbu Room,” which features celebrities answering a myriad of questions from fans. The series commenced with the “Uproar” rapper’s interview, and has also featured interviews from others such as Dave East and Casanova.
Bumbu XO runs for $39.99 to $44.99, and can be found in bars, nightclubs, and retailers.
Lil Wayne isn’t the only star in partnership with a wine and spirits company. He’s among counterparts like his label mate, Nicki Minaj with Myx Moscato, R&B singer and Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood star K. Michelle with “Southern Peach” by Jack Daniels, and Rick Ross with Luc Belaire, which is also produced by Sovereign Brands.
