T.I.’s Daughter Unfollows Him and Her Family On Social Media Following Hymen Controversy
T.I.’s daughter, Deyjah Harris, recently unfollowed T.I., her step-mother Tiny Harris, and her step-sister Zonnique on Instagram following her father’s controversial comments regarding her hymen during a podcast interview, as Hollywood Unlocked reports.
Last week, the three-time Grammy award-winning rapper claimed that he annually accompanied Deyjah to her gynecologist appointments to make sure that her hymen is intact and she’s still a virgin.
“I will say as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact,” he said at the time. “Not only have we had the conversation [about sex], we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen.”
“[When the doctors] say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity,’ I say, ‘Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously,’” T.I. said on the podcast.
As we previously reported, the hosts of the podcast, Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Mohan issued an apology for their reaction to T.I.’s statements during the podcast and also deleted the episode. They claimed that although they were uncomfortable during the podcast they should have reacted differently.

“To everyone confused, angry and hurt by the recent episode of ‘Ladies Like Us,’ we want to apologize for our knee jerk reaction to the uncomfortable topic,” they wrote in a joint statement. “We were completely caught off guard/shocked and looking back, we should have reacted much differently in the moment. The comments that were made and the reaction that followed are not in any way a reflection of our personal views on the topic.”
Deyjah, who is currently in her freshman year of college, hasn’t directly responded to the commentary the public has given regarding her father’s actions and statements. A lot of people on social media have voiced that they feel T.I.’s actions are misogynistic, sexist, invasive, and just downright problematic. Deyjah seems to agree. The 18-year-old liked various tweets that referred to her father as “possessive” and “controlling,” as Refinery 29 reports. She also shared a cryptic message about “being on my own.”
