Carolina Streamer Spotlight: Meet Benjamin Chantz Wright/Chxtnz
Video games are all the rage, so we decided to shed some light on local video game streamers in the Carolinas. This week, we had the chance to sit down with local community game streamer, Benjamin Chantz Wright, and ask him about being part of the game stream community!
How’d you get into streaming? What was the original goal?
I got into streaming when I joined my first gaming team (PMG) as a Call Of Duty player. The original goal was to grow in the gaming space and build my reputation to show others that I’m worth following. I believe in my skills as a player and want others to see the work I put in.
What’s been your best moment as a streamer?
My best moments are always when I have great games with the most viewers on my stream. I love being able to perform in front of others when it matters.
What games speak to you?
The games that really speak to me are the Call of Duty titles and other shooters. I’ve always enjoyed the competitive nature of the games and are always looking for ways to improve while being entertaining.
How do you like connecting with your audience?
I like connecting with my audience through Instagram, Twitter, and Twitch. I appreciate all of my interactions and views so I always have a good time.
If your fans were only going to take one message away from watching you, what would it be?
If my fans were to take one message from me, it would be that I want everyone to see me as one of the best competitors in the world and someone who’s always down to play with anyone. I think it’s important to be open to playing with others and I enjoy it more than anything.
What advice would you give to aspiring streamers?
The advice I would give would be to stay consistent and communicate with your viewers no matter how many you have. It’s important to promote yourself and make sure people know where to find you and watch your streams.
What’s the biggest surprise that you never thought of going into streaming?
One of the biggest surprises has been getting to share some really funny moments with my viewers rather than being serious all the time. A Lot of competitors lose the fun of playing but I want to make sure to improve but also continue enjoying my journey in gaming.
For those who don’t know, how can they find you?
You can find me on Instagram @imchxntz, Twitter @chxntzz, and Twitch @imchxntz
