Carolina Streamer Spotlight: Meet Caleb Alexander/SynworKs
Video games are all the rage, so we decided to shed some light on local video game streamers in the Carolinas. This week, we had the chance to sit down with local community game streamer, Caleb Alexander, and ask him about being part of the game stream community! Fun fact: Caleb is also a student currently at Johnson C. Smith University here in Charlotte, North Carolina!
How did you get into streaming? What was the original goal?
I got into streaming with the release of Call of Duty: Warzone. Warzone presented to me and fellow streamers another opportunity to platform and provide new and interesting content to the viewers. I have been playing games as a casual player for almost all my life and recently I decided that I wanted to gain something out playing games. So here I am!! New and Upcoming small Twitch Streamer! The original goal is to continue to grow and in the next year around this time be a Twitch Affiliate and have a bigger platform.
What’s been your best moment as a streamer?
My best moment so far as a streamer is being able to interact with viewers every day when I am living. I would also say the best part is being able to compete in more tournaments as well.
What games really speak to you?
The game that really speaks to me is Call of Duty. The reason being is I been playing call of duty since 2009 and the funny thing is that I started playing it on the Wii, to be honest. Recently this past year I have competed competitively for many organizations and currently apart of the JCSU Esports Cod team.
How do you like connecting with your audience? What tool do you use most (chat, Twitter, Discord, etc.?)
I like to talk and communicate with my audience by using chat and twitter. On my twitch channel, I have my social media links shown so my chat can keep up with me day to day basis.
If your fans were only going to take one message away from watching you, what would you want that to be?
If my fans could take one message from my live streams, I would want that to be is, Do not be discourage and be patient, good things come to those who wait.
What advice would you give to aspiring streamers?
The biggest advice I would give to aspiring streamers is to be patient and stay consistent. Trying to grow on Twitch will be frustrating but taking one step at a time will get you to the top.
What’s been one of the biggest surprises that you never thought of going into
streaming?
Realizing that twitch is one of the biggest streaming platforms is the biggest surprise to me.
For those who don’t know, how can they find you? (Social/Twitch/YouTube)
For people that don’t know me, they can find me on Twitter which is @CAlexander510, and my Instagram which is @Kvngalexander_ and on my Twitch streaming channel @SynworKs!
