Carolina Gamer Spotlight: Meet Keenan D. McClure
Video games are all the rage, so we decided to shed some light on local video game stars in the Carolinas. This week, we had the chance to sit down with local community gamer, Keenan D. McClure, and ask him about being part of the gaming community! Fun fact: Keenan is also a student currently at Johnson C. Smith University here in Charlotte, North Carolina!
How did you get into gaming? What was the original goal?
I have been a gamer ever since I was born. I realized how much I like them when I first played Halo CE at four years old and I have been playing FPS games ever since. My original goal was to win and to be the best I can be.
What’s been your best moment as a gamer?
My best moment as a gamer is that I get to be on an Esports team at my HBCU, Johnson C Smith University. I think that it is a great thing to be involved in our Esports club and that it can come with lots of benefits.
What games really speak to you?
Counter-Strike, Call of Duty, and Halo, I love FPS games.
What advice would you give to aspiring gamers?
Make your dreams a reality and be the best that you can be.
