Travis Scott Teases New Music
Travis Scott is gearing up for new music following the success of last year’s Utopia. The Houston native teased new music on Instagram, saying that he is ready to look into what’s next.
“I love music so f—— much,” he wrote on Instagram Tuesday (Feb. 20) followed by another post writing, “And for the record. We will be backkkkk. I gotta kick a new gear since they think it’s play time.”
“Whole cactus gang are snappers,” referring to his fan base.
Prior to the posts, he also shared an image from Pulp Fiction of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson’s characters with his 2015 Rodeo hit “Nightcrawler,” soundtracking the post.
Travis Scott Releases Utopia
Scott released his highly anticipated Utopia back in July. The album had guest appearances from Beyoncé, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Kanye West, Bon Iver, Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, The Weeknd, Young Thug, and more.
The 19-track album came with four covers featuring four men clutching money in a car.
“THIS IS ONE OF THE COVERS FOR MY 4TH ALBUM UTOPIA. SHOT BY PIETER HUGO,” the rapper wrote on Instagram in all caps. “THE JOURNEY THRU THE ALBUM TOOK ME ALL OVER THE WORLD AND CANT WAIT TO FINALLY DROP THE ALBUM. THE MAIN COVER WILL DROP THURS UNTIL THEN A COVER EVERYDAY LOVE U SEE U IN UTOPIA.”
Travis Scott Announces Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour
Scott began his tour in Charlotte in October. He followed up by making tour stops in Austin, Nashville, Chicago, Brooklyn, Miami, and more. His album was also accompanied by a film titled Circus Maximus that was available in select AMC Theaters nationwide. Produced by A24, it “takes his audience on a mind-bending visual odyssey across the globe, woven together by the speaker rattling sounds of his highly anticipated upcoming album Utopia,” according to AMC.
Utopia was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2024 GRAMMYs, but the project lost to Killer Mike’s Michael.
