Will Fans Get Answers From Future About Drake On His New Mixtape?
Both albums have been at the beginning stages of the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The Compton native had a surprise feature on the song âLike Thatâ from We Donât Trust You. Fans suspected that a couple of lines off of the title track were aimed at Drake from Future as well.
âFake written all over you/Hate written all over you,â Future raps in the intro to the title track.
âYou a nâ- number one fan, dog/Sneak dissinâ, I donât understand, dog/Pillow talkinâ, actinâ like a fed, dog/I donât need another fake friend, dog/Canât be âbout a h-, âcause we sharinâ, dog/In you feelings, nâ-, why you playinâ, dog?â Future raps in the second verse.
Futureâs diss is not coming out of thin air, as Drake mentioned an issue with Future involving a woman on For All The Dogs.
âWhat would Pluto do?/Heâd fâ a h-/So did it (Yeah, yeah),â Drake rapped on âWhat Would Pluto Do.â
On We Still Donât Trust You, Future addresses his feelings about Drake on the chorus of âThis Sunday.â
âFeel a way, feel a way/Know a nâ- feel a way, feel a way,â he raps repeatedly throughout the chorus interlopping Drakeâs 2016 song âFeel No Waysâ where Future is credited as a writer on the track.
On Drakeâs version, he sings, âAnd now youâre tryna make me feel a way, on purpose/Now youâre throwing it back in my face, on purpose/Now youâre talking down on my name, on purpose, yeah/And you donât feel no way, you think I deserve it.â
Drake and Future have worked together several times over the years, most notably including their What A Time To Be Alive joint album in 2015. They most recently worked together on Futureâs Grammy-winning album I NEVER LIKED YOU in 2022.
Their feud still seems to be ongoing but fans might get some answers on Futureâs mixtape on Friday.
