Khalid Responds After Being Outed By Ex and Allegations Made About Him
Looks like Khalid has had enough of the internet games. After being outed by an ex- and hurtful allegations made about him, he’s speaking up. The “Location” singer is tired of a narrative made about him by someone from his past.

“I feel like it’s important to speak my side of the situation,” he said in a social media video uploaded on Monday, November 25. “All of this is definitely frustrating. I’m not gonna run around like I’m unbothered. I never said I was unbothered by anything. This is very bothering. … I had to say something.”
After being outed by an ex in a series of now deleted tweets on X, the singer decided to openly come out and address the comments. Rolling Stone reported that the tweets came from recording artist, Hugo Almonte. Almonte shared a photo of the two together after alleging an R&B singer once “tried to set me up and lie that I broke into his house” and that he served him “pink cocaine.”
The tweets have since been deleted but did not stop the outrage that they caused on social media. Khalid first responded to speculations about his sexual identity stating that he was indeed gay and that it was no one’s business. He states that he was never “hiding” it or “in the closet.”
The singer also took to social media to address the other allegations made about him by Almonte. “I’ve never done cocaine a day in my life. For real.” He also added that he’s never “paid anyone for sex” or “to be in a relationship.”
He further explains that the relationship he had with Almonte was from almost 5 years ago, so he is unsure of why these details are coming out about him now. “The last time I talked to this guy was four years ago. This is all random, I don’t know why he did it, and I don’t know what’s going on with him. Mental health is real, but I haven’t even had a conversation or seen this dude in four years.”
Social media users have shown a wide range of responses, but many support Khalid and dislike the fact that someone from his past chose to out him on the internet in such a way. In a statement made to Rolling Stone, Almonte claims, “I was holding onto this for five years, and I finally had enough.”
