Check Out These Food Spots At Eat Black Charlotte Week
I am a self-proclaimed 'foodie' and I'm proud of it. So, you can count on me to take part in Eat Black Charlotte Week. It's a week long event of food, culture and festivities all to celebrate African-American cuisine. During Eat Black Charlotte Week (EATBLKCharlotte), a number of participating restaurants, all Black-owned will offer pre-selected menus for dinner and lunch. The food fest begins Friday, June 2nd and continues through Sunday, June 11th, 2023. The week culminates on Saturday, June 10, 2-7 pm at Victoria Yards, 209 E. 7th Street, Charlotte with the outdoor street festival. The EATBLKCharlotte website describes the event as a celebration of community and culture. It will feature black-owned food businesses, including some of the best food trucks in the city. There will be foods representing a number of cultures that include classic soul food to modern fusion cuisine, Haitian classics and more. And of course, no food festival would be complete without dessert. There will be plenty to satisfy the sweet tooth. Besides the food, the festival will include a block party featuring a DJ and fun activities for the entire family. It is a ticketed event. For ticket information, CLICK HERE.
