Saturday was iffy weather, but that didn’t stop us from exploring! We headed back over to one of our closeby favorites, South Mountains State Park, and enjoyed some fly fishing, hiking, and of course, WATERFALL VIEWS!

Last time we visited the park, we went early. This time, we left Charlotte around 2 pm and arrived at South Mountains State Park around 3:30 pm. I 100% recommend doing this moving into the Summer months. We didn’t have to wait in a car line and it was a heck of a less crowded. Overall, we had a great time exploring another great state park in North Carolina and until our next adventure, stay safe Charlotte! I hope you enjoy my nature shots (and selfies) of my visit. If you want to find your perfect trail in North Carolina you can check out the best trails here.
