The festival isn’t without a cause though. The proceeds made from the festival go to 100 Gardens, which is a non-profit multi-faceted educational program that is focused on aquaponics as a platform for experiential learning and a sustainable means of food production for the future. Aquaponics is the integration of aquaculture and hydroponic. This produces fish and plants, recycles water, and serves to teach hands-on learning of a multitude of academic skills such as, science, math, and engineering. To learn more click here.
