I Watched The First Episode of Season 2 “The Boys” and I’m Shook
Okay, if you have nothing to do this weekend and never watched “The Boys” on Amazon Prime, grab some snacks, drink plenty of water and do exactly that.
“The Boys” is an Amazon Prime original is about a world with superheroes and centered around The Seven., which is led by the number one “hero” Homelander. The show is based around Vought International, which is basically like all the other superhero organizations we see on TV, but more messed up. These superheroes take a dark turn and are more corrupt than lets saying the Justice League or Avengers, with a complete reflection on political posturing, racism, female issues, corporate hierarchy, and recklessness of our real-life world.
The first episode of season two did not disappoint. It’s called “The Big Ride” and recaps season one and how Vought International is operating since changes were made. Don’t worry because I’m not going to give you any big spoilers about the show (It’s too good to ruin it) but man Season 2 got me all kinds of ways. There was a ridiculous funeral, pre-made super-villains, and a new superhero who cuts off his genitals for money…I’m shaking, a little disturbed, in love and I can’t wait to watch more.
The second season premiered today, Friday, September 4th, 2020 with new episodes being released each Friday after. Currently, there are three you can enjoy. You can check out the entire first season up now if you need some catching up. If you love a show full of satire, action, humor, and is twisted as hell, you need to watch this.
